REWRITING ANYTHING
Webshare encodes rotation and geo-targeting into the username as hyphen-separated suffixes (user-us-rotate, user-us-1234 for a sticky session). We use the same style under different names — user-country-us, and user-session-abc123-lifetime-10m for a sticky session — so migration is the gateway host and credentials from your client area plus renaming the suffixes. If you use IP-allowlist auth rather than credentials, that maps across directly.

QUESTIONS
What is the best Webshare alternative?
For datacenter and ISP proxies at low cost, Webshare is genuinely hard to beat and most "alternatives" are worse value. The reason to look elsewhere is capability rather than price: mobile proxies, which Webshare does not sell, or bandwidth credit that does not renew monthly.
Does Webshare have mobile proxies?
Not as of 16 August 2026. Their published products are Proxy Server (datacenter), Static Residential (ISP) and Rotating Residential. If your target blocks anything that is not a carrier-assigned mobile IP, that is the gap — and it is a hard gap, not a pricing preference.
Is Webshare’s free tier really free?
Yes, and it deserves credit. It is 10 datacenter proxies with up to 1 GB per month, no credit card and no trial expiry, so it does not lapse after a fortnight. Two honest caveats: the free tier sits on the Proxy Server (datacenter) ladder rather than rotating residential, and 1 GB is a testing allowance rather than a production one.
Webshare vs Prox’Easy — which is cheaper?
Different billing units, so it depends on what your targets accept. Webshare prices datacenter and ISP proxies per IP, which is structurally cheaper than per-GB metering when your targets tolerate those ranges. If they do not, per-IP economics stop applying and you are comparing per-GB residential rates — where both of us run promotions and neither number stays true for long.
How hard is it to switch from Webshare?
Straightforward for the connection itself: both are standard HTTP proxies with username/password or IP-allowlist auth. The one real difference is configuration style — Webshare puts geo and rotation parameters in the username string, and so do we, under different suffix names (user-country-us, user-session-abc123-lifetime-10m). That is a find-and-replace in one place, not a rewrite.
