SWITCHING WITHOUT
REWRITING ANYTHING
Both are standard HTTP proxies with username and password auth, so for most scrapers this is a one-line change. Code built on a vendor-specific SDK or on Bright Data’s scraping browser needs more than a URL swap — that is a rewrite, and we would rather say so here than after you have paid.

QUESTIONS
What is the best Bright Data alternative?
It depends on what is blocking you. If the friction is the compliance review or a monthly commitment, a self-serve provider with one-time credit — Prox’Easy included — removes both. If you need Bright Data’s scale, its dataset marketplace or its scraping-browser tooling, a smaller provider is not a substitute and you should stay.
Why do people look for a Bright Data alternative?
The two reasons that come up most are onboarding friction and billing shape. Bright Data requires a KYC compliance review before you can use the Residential or Mobile networks, and its lower per-GB rates are attached to committed monthly plans. Neither is a flaw — they are consequences of operating at enterprise scale — but they are a poor fit for a small team that wants to test something this afternoon.
Does Bright Data have a free trial?
Yes. As of 16 August 2026, Bright Data advertises a free trial on its residential proxy page with the note “No credit card required”, and it lists a pay-as-you-go tier marked “No commitment”. If your only concern was being locked into a contract, that concern is already addressed by Bright Data itself.
Is Prox’Easy cheaper than Bright Data?
Not a question that can be answered honestly with one number, and we are not going to publish a per-GB comparison. Bright Data’s rates move with promotions and with the size of your monthly commitment. The durable difference is the shape of the bill: ours is a one-time purchase of credit that does not expire, theirs is per-GB with better rates as you commit more per month. Which is cheaper depends entirely on your volume.
Can I migrate without rewriting my scraper?
Yes, if you are using standard proxy configuration. Both are HTTP proxies taking user:password credentials, so migration is usually a change to the proxy URL in your client config. Code that depends on a vendor-specific SDK or on Bright Data’s scraping browser will need more than a URL swap.
