Oxylabs residential proxies use standard HTTP proxy auth, so a migration is usually a change to the proxy URL and credentials. If you are calling their Web Scraper API rather than using proxies directly, that is a different product with its own request format and swapping it out is a rewrite, not a config change.

Does Oxylabs have a pay-as-you-go option?
As of 16 August 2026, no pay-as-you-go tier is listed on the Oxylabs residential proxies product page or its pricing page. The listed self-serve options are monthly subscription tiers, starting with Starter at $30/month for 5 GB. If you need to buy a small amount once, that shape is the friction.
Does Oxylabs require KYC?
Yes, and unusually it applies to everyone. Their own FAQ states that every customer has to answer a KYC questionnaire to get access, including describing the planned use case. Compare this with Bright Data, where the compliance review is documented specifically for the Residential and Mobile networks. If a vetting step is a blocker for you, it is worth knowing before you sign up rather than after.
Can I get an Oxylabs free trial without talking to sales?
Not per their own product-page FAQ, which as of 16 August 2026 directs you to contact the company for a residential proxy trial. Our answer to the same problem is different rather than better: we do not run a trial at all, because a 5 GB purchase that never expires is small enough to be one.
Is Prox’Easy faster than Oxylabs?
We do not know, and we will not claim it. We cannot test another provider’s network under controlled conditions — we do not control their account tier, their exit pool, or which of their points of presence we would be routed through. We publish our own measurements and the limits of those measurements on our methodology page, and we compare vendors on facts they publish themselves.
